Weight Loss Soup: NikkiPanache Approved

Morning.

As promised, I'm going to share a soup that will help you lose weight if you eat it regularly, preferably every day. Now, I'm not a health expert or certified nutritionist. I'm a 3rd year law student, and law school made me fat! Yeah. You heard me right. Law school packed pounds of fat onto my body, and I'm now trimming it off for graduation. Here's how:

First, I stole a soup from @blacktieatl (on instagram) who is or was doing something akin to the Whole 30 diet. The soup is a Curry Thai. See below for picture of ingredients. I don't like to advise just how much of each ingredient one should put in one's soup. LOL. But put as much or as little of the types of vegetables that you like in your soup. The whole point is to lean toward a veggie diet than one made of mostly meat, which will allow for you to eat all day, fill full, obtain the nutrients you need, and lose lots of weight.

See above picture for the following ingredients: lemongrass, garlic, green onions, mushrooms, carrots, unsalted chicken stock, ginger, red peppers, yellow peppers, curry seasoning, coconut milk, and cilantro.

Make enough soup for the week because you're going to need to eat this soup for that long. About one day of the week, you can add meat. On another day, you may add rice noodles. But try not to eat meat or the rice noodles on the same day or for more than a day. This is easy. Just plan ahead.

Furthermore, I cut out breads, dairy products, and products made with refined sugar. I solely relied on the earth and its produce. In just 10 days, I dropped 9 lbs. And I believe you can do it too. Recently, to break my plateau (or what I thought was a plateau), I added a cardio routine, ensuring that I burn 300 to 400 calories a day for at least 4 days a week. I used to burn more, around 600-1000 calories twice a week, but I quickly realized this discouraged me from going back because I was feeling too drained to even return to the gym.

So again, I'm not a nutritionist. I'm just an aspiring lawyer (anticipated JD in May 2016) and an entrepreneur who believes in taking control of her life. I believe that all professionals or even those who are returning to the workforce want to be in the best shape of their lives. They want to feel and look good. Like Deion Sanders once said: "When you look good, they pay good." So get eatin' and tell me about your success.

And please substitute food products when necessary. Don't come back here saying Nikki made you sick. xoxo
